Choice of Bus Interface

AMS has designed high quality, low cost adapters to interface with industry standard ISA busses. We can produce enhancement products for virtually every PC/XT, AT or PS/2 system. And coming soon add-on products for PCI bus.

Super High Speed Communications

To keep pace with the ever increasing speed of Data/Fax modems, i.e. 14.4K baud and V.34, AMS I/O can reliably transfer data at speeds up to 256K bits/second. Using 16C550 UART chip sets with 16 Byte FIFO buffers, I/O throughput is maximized and overall system performance is optimized. In addition to the standard RS-232C interface, RS-422, RS-485 and Current Loop are also available.

A Cost Effective Solution for Slower Speed Serial I/O

If the user's applications are not as demanding, AMS has a lower cost solution. Using non-buffered 16C450 UART chip sets, these I/O adapters are ideal to interface with terminals, serial printers, mouse and many other lower speed devices.

Bi-Directional Parallel Ports

Parallel I/O ports are Centronics printer interface compatible. The bi-directional capabilities allow scanners and tape back-up systems to function at maximum transfer speeds.

Eliminate Conflicts with Flexible I/O Addresses & IRQ Settings

Easy to install and set-up, AMS I/O adapters support up to 10 IRQs and always provide alternative I/O settings. No matter how a system is configured AMS has a solution.
